Perico Mid-Week Madness

Next Wednesday, Perico play the Brunswick Hotel supporting Mark Sinton & the Prefabs.

Pericoloco asked Drummer Queen Col, whether this gig would be similar to those before which have been held on a Friday or Saturday night.

"No, it'll be different." he said. "For a start we're playing on a Wednesday night. That's different. And we're on early at 8.30pm. That's different too. But we'll still be the same well-dressed hunks, playing inspired and critically-acclaimed music.

Brunswick Meredith Music Festival

With this year's Meredith Music Festival selling out SO fast, we were lucky at pericoloco to have 12 tickets to give away to lucky readers of this blog. Details will follow over the next few weeks, so you'll have to keep reading this EVERY week. Those who leave comments will get greater priority.
Meanwhile, who needs Meredith when you've got Brunswick EVERY week?
This week we welcome the first entry from one of our favourite Brekky joints not so far away from superbass Greg's abode. Great scrambled eggs! Anyway Cafe Banter, located on Lygon Street at the McDonald's end (otherwise known as the Chicago quarter) have obviously moved into live music without us realising it, taking the number of venues in Brunswick to 12!!! Perico Launch their own Glorious Loyalty Oath Crusade

Brunswick supergroup Perico have joined the call being made by our national leaders for more respect for values.
Perico are believed to be considering making all attendess at Perico gigs sign a pledge before being permitted to leave.
Though the contents of the pledge have not yet been revealed, reaction has been generally supportive.
Pericoloco blog reporter, Damo Wilding, who thinks value is "buying your beer in jugs", described the idea as "innovative, and sure to catch on."
"Like there was this girl once who said, 'but will you respect me in the morning?' and now, with this loyalty oath idea, I could get out a piece of paper and say, 'yeah, I'll sign this, I'll respect you'."
