Perico blog reporter, Brunswick icon, renowned local agriculturalist, Retreat drinker, and Italian soccer fan Damario Wilding, aka Damo, is currently being held in custody, according to police sources. "We've been expecting this for a long time." said Perico bass player, Greg. "It's just that we were expecting him to be arrested for some of his other activities rather than for being a soccer hooligan."
Damo was reportedly obscenely drunk yesterday morning in Lygon Street after Italy's stunning World Cup victory.
Although hardly alone in this respect, Perico drummer Col explains,
"Damo's version of obscenely drunk adds a new meaning to the word 'obscene'. Personally I'm not surprised at all that he's got himself in trouble."
Perico guitarist Richo was more supportive of Damo, finding other scapegoats.
"I don't blame him. I blame society."
